Why? What's wrong with anonymously reporting someone for 3RR? Heavy Brother 03:25, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Not sure what the justication was for blocking me. I merely created a second account so that I could report a 3RR violation anonymously in order to avoid retaliation. I'm not aware of any policy against this. If you would be so kind, please unblock me.

Decline reason:

Single purpose account used only for filing 3RR. Unblock declined.— Navou banter 03:34, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

{{unblock|I just requested an unblock and it was declined with the reason "Single purpose account used only for filing 3RR." Is there a policy against this? I was just trying to protect myself by reporting a 3RR anonymously to avoid future retaliation. The block has also blocked my normal account. I am a longtime user and my other account is also now blocked indefinitely because of this. Can someone be blocked indefinitely from editing for making one mistake like this?}} Heavy Brother 03:42, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

John seems to be taking care of you, so I'll let him handle this.--Chaser - T 05:22, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you tell us the name of your normal account, we can have the account unblocked. John254 03:58, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, should I email you to tell you? I want to remain anonymous to the 3RR offender. Heavy Brother 03:59, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
And yes I now realize that one of the reverts was reverting vandalism. I didn't realize that at the time. It was just a mistake. I was actually going to make an edit to apologize for that mistake when I saw that I was blocked. Heavy Brother 04:02, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I had reported him before when he made 6 or 7 reverts, none of them for vandalism, and he blocked for it. Heavy Brother 04:13, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
You can email the name of your normal account to d6382102@hotmail.com John254 04:18, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ok, thanks. Heavy Brother 04:21, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unblock

edit

Based on email conversations with this user, and an admitted misunderstanding of the policy, I have lifted the block that I initially issued to this user, who has a significant and clean edit history on another account. The user is now aware of the policy and has been advised to scramble the password to this account and never use it again. There are significant collateral damage implications of this block with an autoblock, so the autoblock has been lifted. Note that this user has not been required to abandon the account, but has been educated about the appropriate use of multiple accounts and sockpuppet policy. If the user chooses to use a second account in compliance with WP:SOCK, it should not be held against them. - Philippe | Talk 16:19, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

And where is this apology?

edit

You used your sob story to the admin to get reinstated., Congrats. However, i never heard you were unblocked, and I never seemed to get that apology you siad you were "about to send me" when you were blocked. Since you set up the account as an attack account, and furthermore are actively seeking to further conceal your regular username, I find it a tad difficult to believe you at all. I find it exceptionally difficult to not believe you are not someone I have had significant contact with before. You get to stalk my edits, and I am not afforded the same opportunity? Sorry, it doesn't work like that; what's good fro the goose is good for the gander. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 03:20, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The only person still keeping this alive is you. This user did exactly what I told them to: ceased using that account immediately upon finding out that it was not allowed as a single-purpose account. There have been no contributions since 9/25 from this account. This matter is closed. There is no further need for you to keep this alive. - Philippe | Talk 14:03, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
