Welcome to Wikipedia edit

Welcome, Heather.

A couple of tricks:

To indent a line, start it with a colon.
Two colons indents further.

If you start line with a space, you get a fixed-width font inside a box

like this.

(Hit "edit this page" to see how I made these.)

We need all the help with medieval clothing we can get. You might want to check out WikiProject Fashion and WikiProject Textile Arts. - PKM 03:30, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the welcome, the pointers, and the links. I'll go fix the talk page on Bliaut and check out the links a bit more, now that I've gotten some sleep.--Heather 16:03, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Reminder to use the Edit Summary edit

Regarding your edits to the Diaper page: I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! 172.190.69.201 (talk) 16:49, 19 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ah, okay thanks! I'll remember that. --165.166.63.67 (talk) 14:58, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
