I've just reversed your edit since the fable you cite is very obviously the variant of another, The Fox and the Weasel. But before you transfer your entry there, I think you need to check how authentic your source is. Fables are usually told leanly and come quickly to the point. Your wordy source does not and I very much suspect it is a modern retelling which has been influenced by La Fontaine's "Le renard et les raisins", in which case it loses its value as an ancient piece of Jewish folklore. I also think you need to do some more research on the Jewish variant and check whether it appears in Berechiah ha-Nakdan's Mishlei Shualim. Judging by the French work you referenced, it looks like one of the Jewish 'fox fables' that were introduced to Europe during the Middle Ages. Sweetpool50 (talk) 00:47, 1 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
