Fair Use Images for Warcraft or Other Games edit

Havok,

I have noticed that you have updated some World of Warcraft pages with images. I have recently joined the commons.wikipedia.com and would like to start adding images to enhance some of the Warcraft pages. However, I can't make sense of the fair-use policies, and I definitely want to avoid copyright infringement. Since I didn't know who else to ask, I thought maybe you could shed some light on this topic. Again, I am speaking specifically about images directly related to World of Warcraft. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Prince of Tennis Live Action Film edit

Hi, Havoc, I think there's been a user Tree Biting Conspiracy with the IP log of 203.143.95.66 that's been vandalising the page. He/She changed the name of Ryoma Echizen to "Steven" and well, I'm pretty sure that's vandalism as Ryoma's name is certainly not Steven. I just wanted you to be aware of it, because I changed his/her changes back to the correct version.

Thanks!

Re: Japanese name for PlayStation 3 edit

I don't see "out of hand", I see a healthy debate. Carry on. :) RadioKirk (u|t|c) 12:57, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

GameBoy Line edit

Hey Havoc,

I have noticed some links that were useful in the GameBoy Line were deleted by you. I don't know why did you delete them since some were quality informative links and did not have spam. Both eagb.net, gameboyfan.com and dmgice.com are examples of deleted sites that are relevant, dedicated, non-commercial sites that cover only gameboy and are of the highest quality. I have noticed you left portablegamingworld.com which is a blog site that has hardly any info on gameboy.

I don't have nothing against you, you are trying to make wikipedia a better, more useful place by fighting Spam, but at the time the gameboy section did have a lot of links, but some of them shouldn't be deleted. The person who removed the emulator sites before, did a good job, but you trimmed way too much. Next time, please visit the external links before deleting because others use wikipedia and may find the links useful, like I did early July and luckily still had the sites in my browser history.

Revert warring edit

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you.

Please stop revert warring on List of Virtual Boy games. The 3RR is not an allowance, but a maximum limit. In most circumstances, you shouldn't even revert more than once. — Omegatron 13:47, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

May I ask why you didn't warn ed g2s? He might be an admin, but he's not above the policy of wikipedia is he? Oh, and I was reverting vandalism, which dosn't go under 3RR. Havok (T/C/c) 15:15, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
That is not vandalism, and you know it. If you don't, I guess you need to read Wikipedia:Vandalism.
All I am asking is that you try to get support for your changes. If you can't get support for a change, but you keep putting it back in the article, you are revert warring, and that is definitely bad, regardless of whether other people are doing it too.
I like your use of alternating colors for the background rows, and started working on a real solution for the site. — Omegatron 15:32, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Because you're a member of the Association of Inclusionist Wikipedians, I'm notifying you that the inclusionist proposa Wikipedia:Non-notabilityl is in progress to define the role of notability in articles. Please help us make this successful! Also note the proposal Wikipedia:Importance is a deletionist proposla that seeks to officially introduce notabiltiy for the first time. --Ephilei 04:45, 4 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject: Warcraft edit

It seems like you're heading up this project or something, so I thought I'd come to you... I have added myself to the list and I'm working hard to complete many articles on the toDo list. If there's anything you'd like to discuss about my changes or possible future work, please add to my talk page! BTW thanks for the heads up on Draenei pally/shammy. I really didn't know that :)
