Map license edit

Thanks for the compliment. The GFDL basically allows you to reuse the map (and modify the map) however you wish, but requires two basic things: firstly, there needs to be credit given to whoever made it, and secondly, the map must remain under the GFDL, including any modifications you make to it. So basically, all you'd need to do is:

  • Have a note saying where the map came from (just mentioning Wikipedia would do)
  • Have a note saying that the map (and anything you create based on the map) is under the GFDL.

If that's done, I don't think there would be any problems with you using the map. (Just out of interest, what sort of project would it be used for?) -- Vardion 15:44, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)
