Meera Jasmine

Hello, Hariharan, I noticed your contrubutions to Trisha Krishnan's article. There have also been problems with another Tollywood actress, Meera Jasmine. User:Vasanth Seshadri has been guarding the article vehemently, especially the filmography where he adds comments on the movies that simply don't belong there. Film screenshots and promotional material may generally be used only to illustrate the movie or the characters played, not to depict the actor or actress. For example, Image:Trishavikram-bheema.jpg may be used in an article on Bheema (the movie) but as the article on Trisha Krishnan does not substantially discuss that movie, use of it in that article would therefore be solely to depict the actress and would be a direct copyright violation. --Yamla 15:23, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

This is good if and only if the image is being used to illustrate the movie, not the actress. That is, it could be used on the movie's page. It could also be used on the actress's page attached to a section (not at the top) which goes into detail about the movie. That is, a paragraph or so of why that movie was particularly relevant to the actress's career. The image cannot be used solely to depict the actress, however, no matter what the fair-use rationale says. --Yamla 15:21, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

List of Hindi films

Hi, i just saw that a new user has created a new article on Hindi films. The list is very incomplete and needs to be sorted out aplhabetically. Hi again, sorry to bother you! I think we do not need the article because half of the Hindi films don't even have articles on them. We have the category Hindi-language films and that has all the films that have articles on them. Even if we do expand this list, the majority will be filled with reds! A question

That article was deleted because it was a violation of copyright. Please feel free to recreate the article, avoiding copying text from any other source, of course. If you do so, please make your very first edit summary say something like, "Deleted due to copyvio, recreating without violation". This will reduce the chances of it being speedily deleted in the future as a recreation of previously deleted content. Just to be clear, I'm not trying to imply that you committed any copyright infringement, only that the page itself contained a violation and that is why some other admin deleted the page. --Yamla 17:00, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Excuse ME!

I have been reverting the article, Sainikudu as it has lots of fangush on Mahesh Babu's visions but none on Trisha or the technical crew, eg. It is Mahesh's x time with the director or Mahesh x time with Trisha. This is un needed info and plain fangush.

On Mahesh article the citations are wrong for eg. Wiki says his height is 6'2 the article you provided says 6'3. On his 'website' at the top it says FOR THE FANS BY THE FANS. No fansites are permitted!

Please talk to me before you complain to an adminstrator eg. Yamla.

Hello!

No! Preity should not be listed above since Zora and other members decided to go with the IMDB format to match up standards for every film. I personally said that we should put the cast as the film maker puts them on the film. But then Zora said, not everyone owns the dvd or has watched the movie. I said I do. But anyway, it's the IMDB standard now. So don't change any casting list. Otherwise, I'd argue that why isn't Ash listed above Madhuri in Devdas since she was the lead in the movie. Not odd at all

It's not odd. It's something to do with cast seniority, length of the role, the importance of it because sometimes a supporting role is more influential than the lead, especially these days. I'd like everyone to follow the film maker's cast list. He/she knows how to cast in order. If not, then use IMDB to stop issues. -- shez_15
