Cricket team changes
Hi mate, I appreciate you trying to make cricket wiki a better place! However you need to keep to the same style that we have used in cricwiki for ages now.
If a team is not scheduled to play a particular format until a certain date, any players who last played before that date are now no longer considered current members, I appreciate ESPN keeps them as active however it is not the next game scheduled they use.
To keep wiki tables nice and clean we will stick to such formulas, we use to only have series listed, so if you were dropped next series for a format you would lose listing for such formats.
Anyways, Pat Cummins nexts plays ODIs months away, so he isn't captaining Australia in any ODI stuff for a while.
Cheers, hope to not have to keep reverting or take further action! Just check most cricket pages for national teams, unless you changed them yourself!! Therlinsideman (talk) 05:20, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for your message. I understand what you mean regarding the players not playing in formats until a certain date, however, regarding the captaincy, generally we don't change it unless there is a change in permanent captaincy. - Again stop making changes without knowing the facts.
- Officially Smith & Head are Test Vice Captains and Mitch Marsh is ODI Vice Captain. Stop being a pest on wiki and stoping positives edits from being made instead of having to deal with you and your vandalism! Therlinsideman (talk) 06:09, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Therlinsideman: I will admit my mistake on the Test vice captaincy, however, Marsh is not the ODI vice captain. In fact, there isn't a vice captain at all per this. Finally, please read WP:PERSONAL and refrain from making personal attacks. Thanks, Hamza Ali Shah Talk 15:26, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
- Yes Marsh is the ODI vice captain! If you go through the changes to the Aussie cricket team I linked a video of Andrew McDonald confirm that he is! Pat Cummins has also confirmed that and it was also again mentioned at the Australia Cricket Awards the other night!! Therlinsideman (talk) 05:05, 3 February 2024 (UTC)

- Youtube? This was a radio interview with the head coach that was also posted to all podcast platoforms! Cummins also interviewed when arriving back in Australia after WC Final mentioning Marsh as ODI VC and again mentioned by Marsh, Cummins & McDonald on Wednesday night at Australian Cricket Awards Night broadcast to Foxtel and Seven.. - If Marsh is the ODI vice-captain then there will be some source mentioning it. I could not find a single one with this being the most recent source and saying that there is no ODI vice-captain.
