Great to see another Kiwi here, Welcome!

edit

Hi Hairycanary! I just noticed your name pop up as a new user and thought I'd introduce myself and welcome you as there's only a couple of administrators from NZ here. Take a look at the message below, and please message me if I can assist in anyway. Again, welcome! Glen 08:42, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

To help get you settled in, I also thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! Thanks! Glen 08:42, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Red links are links that dont have a page creation yet. As you hadnt created your userpage it was red. I just placed a small hidden comment there to make it blue (but I can delete if you prefer To edit it, click here! :) Make sense? Glen 09:11, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hey wow, you even spelt color like an American! Though, on pages about NZ, Oz or England, we spell them in the local format. Worth knowing :) Glen 09:14, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

No problem! You can also customize (see - yankee spelling by me too) your signature under my preferences above. For example, you could make your name appear as "Nat" when signing and link to this page. Under preferences, where it says Signature put:

[[User:Kiwiinoz77|Nat]] which equals Nat

or

'''[[User:Kiwiinoz77|Nat]]''' will equals Nat

You could put any color in pinks place. If you do this, also make sure the Raw signature box is ticked. Enjoy! Glen 09:22, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi there,

I was wondering how you knew so much about the surname 'Libbis' as it is my surname.
