Apologies for the block

edit

We have an issue with a former user who thought it would be funny to abuse the names of real-life individuals. Even so, you shouldn't have to pay the price. Hopefully, you're willing to put the event behind you and give both Wikipedia and the blocking administrator another chance.

I've Googled the email address you sent to our email system and it appears perfectly legitimate: While you certainly know this, I'm stating it here for the benefit of others who may be curious as to your username.

Best of luck in your editing. :) Kylu (talk) 05:24, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

As of Jan 2, 2011, whomever tried to harm the "hydrail" entry last year appears to be at it again, this time with a spurious "delete" attempt. I'm not familiar with the mechanics of the Wiki process and don't know how to defend against this kind of thing. If anyone can help, please do. There is a major international hydrail conference this year. Deletion of the hydrail entry would cause serious harm. H S Thompson (talk) 07:12, 3 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

My apologies; I did not understand the signing process. signed:H S Thompson (talk) 17:50, 3 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I just added text references to annotate the the "bare" URLS introduced in my previous edits. I note the suggestion that style improvements are desirable and am willing to make them. However, some more specific guidance from whomever made the suggestion would be appreciated.H S Thompson (talk) 02:06, 4 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:39, 3 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
