Response to individual NOLA streetcar articles edit

To answer your question, I felt it was time that the NOLA streetcar system had individual articles devoted to the individual lines. IMHO I have noticed for years that the Streetcars in New Orleans article has been left unchanged, and due to the lengthy descriptions of each line, I felt an article for each line was way overdue, although I noticed some have been redirected for sometime. I am open to making corrections and adjustments as necessary to each article, especially on the infoboxes. As for redundancy concerns, I have modified the list of lines column from the lengthy portions (which have been moved) to the basic descriptions to combat this. Citing sources edit

HGFriedman:

I never mentioned your identity, but I did ask for opinions about specific Wikipedia policies on citations. One editor figured out I was talking about you and the Streetcars of New Orleans article. Nobody has said anything disparaging about you; in fact, that editor was defending your position. However, as a matter of fairness and Wikipedia policy, I am notifying you that your identity has come up in this discussion Wikipedia talk:Citing sources#Citing books. Yes, I read the article in talk:Citing sources‬. I noticed his mention of my name, and your discretion in not mentioning it. Thanks for that.
However, you all but accused me earlier of trying to claim ownership of the N. O. article, against WP policy. I assure you, I had and have no such intention. But having originated a lot of that text, I'm interested (understandably, I think) in changes made to it. I welcome additions and changes that improve the article, and in fact, several editors have made improvements since I began work on it. All to the good.HGFriedman (talk) 18:17, 19 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
It really did look like ownership. Anyone can edit any non-protected article and it's first-come, first-served. If you don't understand my response, please re-read your initial comment and ask yourself what the most obvious interpretations are. However, if you would like, this can all be forgotten. I have no illusions about my knowledge about S-cars of NOLA compared to you. I don't even know many of the street names and much of the topology of NOLA, so I am a slow reader while comparing it to online maps. But I can still be helpful. Truce? Cheers, Oldsanfelipe (talk) 18:59, 19 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
I think I understand your comments, and if I have given a bad impression, I apologize. I think we can both made good contributions. Truce! HGFriedman (talk) 19:16, 19 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
And I escalated it. Please forgive me. Truce! Two people who are nerdy enough to care about this must find common ground. Happy editing, Oldsanfelipe (talk) 19:36, 19 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

A new trick edit

HGFriedman: I learned a new trick to avoid edit conflicts. Please see Knights of Pythias Temple (Dallas, Texas). I will be taking down the notice in a few hours. Cheers, Oldsanfelipe (talk) 19:42, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ah, I see. Nice. Thanks. HGFriedman (talk) 19:47, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
