Notability of Brian Rohrbough

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Brian Rohrbough, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Brian Rohrbough seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Brian Rohrbough, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Speedy deletion nomination of Jerry Labriola

edit

A tag has been placed on Jerry Labriola requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 03:39, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:This2.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:This2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:00, 30 March 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

It also has no fair use rationale; one should be added to explain why it qualifies for fair use in any articles in which it is used.

I've reverted the other image, File:This.jpg to the previous version; if uploaded again a more descriptive name is needed, and it should have the correct licence and source and a fair use rationale, as your claim of ownership of the copyright of a Disney film doesn't seem plausible. snigbrook (talk) 19:00, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Succession boxes for runners-up

edit

Please note that your additions of succession boxes for "Runner up for the Democratic Nomination for President" is not a good idea. First, WP already has too many of these things, and some border on trivia. Second, there is no one good measure of who finishes second in a presidential nomination contest. It could be whoever won the second largest number of primaries, or whoever got the second largest number of popular votes, or whoever got the second largest number of delegates during the peak of the nomination battle, or whoever got the second largest number of delegates at the actual convention. In some cases it's clear, such as it's pretty obvious that Hillary finished second in the 2008 Democratic nomination. But if you use the 2008 Republican nomination as an example, your answers to the above questions would be Romney, Romney (I think, depending upon whose popular vote count you use – caucuses, banned states, and other problems make this hard to determine), Huckabee (depending upon when you take the count), and Ron Paul, respectively. So it's best to avoid this matter entirely in succession boxes. Wasted Time R (talk) 01:07, 11 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Tony Dovolani, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wendy Williams (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
