Merhaba! Re: " How can I go about certifying which software is notable / nonnotable? " -- first of all you have to pay close attention to what is posted on your talk page. The "Welcome!" section tells you how to sign your posts in talk pages. My previous reply containw answer to your question: you need a 3rd party review to assert the quality of software. Wikipedians themselves are not authority in information written in the articles. Only reputable publications are source of information for wikipedia. See WP:CITE/WP:RS policies now to support information with citations. In general, wikipedia is not a directory. Articles need text. People can find software themselves without promotion in wikipedia. Finally, you have to ask questions in article talk pages, where more people can give you advices, not just me. - üser:Altenmann >t 03:27, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
