I really liked how detailed the descriptions of Giant oarfish are. However, I did find the descriptions to be just a little redundant because similar information is mentioned in both the beginning of the article and within the description section. It would also be interesting to add why it swims in a vertical position and why the larvae reside near the surface if the research paper provides these info.

The pictures included in the page are amazing! They really capture how unique and large the anatomy of Giant oarfish is, especially the one with the navy trainees. Overall really good job editing this page!

It looks like you added a lot of citations and edited the lead a bit. This looks great! I also liked the way you rearranged the subheadings and added a lifecycle section, this is great information to add. I also saw that you deleted a sentence or two that maybe seemed redundant or unnecessary. The only suggestion I have is that both in the Article (original)/lead section and in the relationship with humans section it talks about sea serpent sightings, which you probably only need to have once. Overall, great editing! Dibiasei (talk) 15:13, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

John Kim:

I really liked the addition of the Life Cycles section. This additional description gives me a better understanding about the early life cycle of the giant oarfish. I would suggest adding information about the life cycle outside of the lab and how these larvae develop into full grown adults.

I also really like the Description section that you added. It tells me a lot about the physical makeup of the organism. My suggestion is to rename the title section "Description" into "Morphology" since you extensively describe its anatomical features in this section.

Overall, your edits provide very detailed descriptions about the Giant oarfish and you add a lot of citations to support your statements. Great job! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnkim5206 (talkcontribs) 18:09, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
