March 2024 edit

Hello, I'm Fyrael. I noticed that you recently removed content from Tomasz Misiak without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. -- Fyrael (talk) 20:33, 28 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Dear Fyrael I am user from Poland, this contact is about Mr Misiak and is driven by people who are for sure in open conflict with him. Information published are mostly not true. I believe that person creating this page is in cooperation or is conected to Mr Misiak wife. Ask changes I mage were removed instead of fact that I supported my edit with public available information. I dont think wikipedia community is to create defamation, and this is what current version of this article is doing. My recommendation will be to bring back my changes from lat month. Tomasz Misiak edit

Hi, I reverted your edit as it would be better in the talk page rather than in the actual article. You could re-add your message here: Talk:Tomasz Misiak Thank you -- Cosmic6811 🍁 (T · C) 21:27, 28 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

So please review all article history. With my changes from lat 2 months GrzegorzNews (talk) 21:33, 28 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I've reviewed the article history and it appears that nearly the entirety of the article was added by the account WikiAngls. I myself am unfamiliar with the topic but you can take a look here Special:Diff/1147391920 and see if anything appears suspicious. -- Cosmic6811 🍁 (T · C) 00:51, 29 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Of course, the entire material is presented in a way that depreciates Mr. Misiak. In fact, this account only provides negative information, while objective details are removed. In the controversial matters from 2009, Mr. Misiak won court cases, and the media published numerous apologies; I had posted a description of this situation, but it was deleted. Also, the recent situation related to the prosecutorial charges is presented in Poland as political, and Mr. Misiak found himself on the list of victims of the previous non-democratic party, along with Mr. Witucki. Both are very well-known economic activists who criticized the previous authority. This article is clearly created on order. I do not have a high editorial status, but I hope this matter will reach people who do have such status on the English version of Wikipedia and will include objective information on the case. I will try to update information and I hope it will be professionally manage GrzegorzNews (talk) 14:43, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't know how to deal in matters like this but what you can do is go to Help:Contents and read the Report a problem with an article section. Since your edits have already been removed previously, I would recommend looking at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Help or Contacting Wikipedia. -- Cosmic6811 🍁 (T · C) 17:42, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, GrzegorzNews. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Tomasz Misiak, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 19:50, 31 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for this information. Your earlier instructions allowed for the normalization of the material, which was undoubtedly created by people with a conflict of interest. The content still contains incomplete information compared to the Polish version, and I think it should be subject to control. GrzegorzNews (talk) 21:57, 1 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
GrzegorzNews can you please respond to the question: do you have a connection to Mr Misiak and therefore a conflict of interest? Thank you Melcous (talk) 01:05, 2 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't have , but so far my edits have been removed , and those providing incomplete or manipulated information are still on the site. Has anyone asked who has an interest in this? GrzegorzNews (talk) 07:56, 3 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
You have edited here about nothing other than this individual(on the Polish Wikipedia you made only one unrelated edit). You seem to have a strong interest in how they are portrayed to the point where you have made unsupported accusations about the motivations of other editors and said there is a deliberate effort to defame this individual. These things are reason enough to ask if you have a conflict of interest here. Whether you do or not, you should be using the talk page to discuss the content of the article.
If you have evidence of undisclosed connections or a deliberate off-wiki conspiracy regarding editing the article, please give your evidence to a checkuser- see WP:CHECKUSER. Do not post it on wiki. If you have no evidence, please stop making accusations of a conspiracy. 331dot (talk) 08:32, 3 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Dear editors,
I would like to draw attention to the fact that the current version of English Wikipedia does not contain information about apologies issued by the media regarding false information about Mr. Misiak. My edits inserting these apologies into the article content have been removed. It was not taken into account that the majority of materials are published by media outlets considered in Poland to be Law and Justice government-controlled and directly affiliated with the Jarosław Kaczyński Foundation, the leader of the undemocratic PiS party, or related to it, such as Gazeta Polska or Niezależna PL. The material mostly consists of references to these former government media. Information that the matter concerning alleged PFRON fraud is a political issue and the exploitation of a divorce conflict by the former government. Information about that from independent media has been removed despite sources such as Gazeta Wyborcza, WP.pl, and many other media outlets. I therefore pose an open question as to why these sources were removed and why the entries still remain in this form. Why is the material concerning the officially won tender, after a court appeal, considered controversial when it is stated only by the pro-government Law and Justice newspaper, while an independent WP.pl article informs that the media practices of companies that lost this tender in court were unethical? I understand that there may be a conflict of interest for those who see that this material is not fair, but not for those who create it in this form. I don't know if this is what Wikipedia is about. GrzegorzNews (talk) 16:33, 15 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
A very simple question, why is the information that Mr. Tomasz Misiak and Maciej Witucki found themselves on the list of persons subject to political investigations and many business organizations, as well as Lech Wałęsa, signed an appeal for a review of these investigations, consistently being removed from this article? Can the editors who are removing this information respond to this? Which of the 10 media sources is unreliable, or is President Wałęsa also unreliable for signing after this appeal?
