A few tips

Without meaning to be rude, or to start a fight or some other kind of disagreement, may I offer a few tips when editing?

First, while you don't actually have to make use of the edit summary box when making an edit, it is a good idea. Not giving reasons for your edits can sometimes be unhelpful for other users.

Second, some of the edits you have made have been very big - perhaps a little too big. May I suggest breaking these into smaller edits? There is nothing to say that if you want to add a large amount of information to an article, you can't do it in five, ten or even twenty edits, instead of one big edit.

Third, when making a sizable edit (i.e. not a minor edit), it is also a good idea to make use of the "Show preview" button, and look over this edit, before saving it. Making such an edit and then just clicking "Save page" may not be such a good idea if there are errors in the edit.

And fourth, if there is an opportunity to add a reference or two, don't pass it up.

Three weeks on, and - again without meaning to be rude - I can't help but notice that you're still not making use of the edit summary box.

Also, some of your edits in the three weeks have been - I hate to have to say this - a tad unnecessary. In particular, the edits where you've been changing the dates of issue for certain US license plate bases.

Just because a base, or a particular version of a base (depending on design, serial format or even slogan) started to be issued in a particular year or a particular month, doesn't automatically mean that that base / particular version started to be issued on 1 January of the particular year / the 1st of the particular month, with the previous base / version last being issued on 31 December of the previous year / the last day of the previous month.

Especially in cases where the state wanted to use up its remaining stocks of the previous base / version before starting to issue the new base / version - a changeover in this manner could fall on any date, and not necessarily the 1st of a month.

So here's another tip - if, for example, you see that a particular base / version was first issued in 1998 or in February 2004, don't take that to automatically mean that the previous base / version was last issued in 1997 or in January 2004, and thus make an edit that could turn out to be wrong and would then have to be undone. Similarly, if for example you see that a particular base / version was first issued in late 1991, don't take that to automatically mean that the previous base / version was last issued in early or mid-1991.

And don't forget the situations where two bases, or two versions of a particular base, overlapped in some way - like in Ohio, where the first batch of "Beautiful Ohio" plates were issued before the last batch of "Sunburst" plates, and in Iowa, where plates with screened numbers were originally issued in only a few counties while the others continued to issue plates with embossed numbers for another year or so.
