Howdy! As a current or past contributor to a related article, I thought I'd let you know about WikiProject Texas A&M, a collaborative effort to improve Wikipedia's coverage of Texas A&M University. If you would like to participate, you can visit the project page, where you can join the project and see a list of open tasks and related articles. Thanks and Gig 'em! — BQZip01 — talk 03:31, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Howdy, I second BQZip01's invitation to join WikiProject Texas A&M. We really are nice people - I promise - and we all speak Aggie (although out of the goodness of our hearts we've also invited a t-sip and a Red Raider to join) ;) It's great that you are so interested in the Texas A&M University article, and there are lots of other Aggie articles that need tender loving care to whip into shape. If you have any questions about how to contribute to Wikipedia (it's really not that intuitive for new users), please feel free to ask any of us. We'll be happy to help. Gig 'em. A&M establishment

edit

Hello, Gregzeppelin. Texas A&M was actually established by the Texas Legislature in 1871, and it was opened for classes in 1876. The link you provided does not state the university was established in 1876. Anything that says A&M was established in 1876 is simply wrong. Also, both Encarta and Britannica verify the 1871 establishment date. BlueAg09 (Talk) 02:04, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

See above and I concur with BlueAg's edits. The English language sucks, IMHO. No biggee, no problem, but please cease & take some time to read & understand what we're trying to say. — BQZip01 — talk 04:10, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I posted your comments verbatim from my talk page (plus a response) to the Texas A&M University talk page in order to elicit a more broad response and centralize the discussion. I invite you to participate in the discussion there. — BQZip01 — talk 23:39, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 01:36, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
