Speedy deletion of Grains research and development corporation edit

A tag has been placed on Grains research and development corporation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ironholds 06:16, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

User name edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

GRDC speedy deletion edit

Did you mean Grains research and development corporation? If so, it was deleted as spam. The article was written more as an enticement to contact the company rather then as an encyclopedic article. It also failed WP:RS, WP:V, WP:N, WP:COI, WP:ORG and it is a WP:COPYVIO from here. So clearly there were many issues with the article and deletion was the correct action. I suggest that you review the above items and refrain from editing this article as you apparently have a real conflict of interest with the subject. Vegaswikian (talk) 07:01, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
