Roman Empire

edit

Regarding your comment on my talk page: please remain civil and avoid personal attacks on other editors, even when you disagree with them. As I have mentioned I am not involved in the content dispute at Roman Empire and I do not want this argument spilling onto my talk page. That is an inappropriate venue for your to continue your disagreement. If you continue to edit war over this matter you (and other editors) may end up being blocked from editing. Edit warring is damaging to Wikipedia. Please stop it, even if you are right. Thanks, Gwernol 09:14, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm afraid that your comment includes several comments that violate either WP:CIVIL or WP:NPA. For example, saying that "CRIreland... completely misrepresents the situation." is an unnecessary assumption of bad faith. Desribing the 476 date as "stupid" only inflames the debate - there is no need for that, you can just as easily say: "Only Flamandrito and Brando support the 476 date". Accusing CIreland of wanting to "crush" the opinion of other editors is incivil. Suggesting that Flamandrito is slandering someone is a personal attack. Suggesting that CIreland acts "without integrity" is a clear personal attack. None of this is necessary and personal attacks of this nature only upset others and make it less likely that your side of the debate will be heard. Thanks, Gwernol 21:01, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, but you need to read those links, since they are the rules that you will be held to. And in any language, accusing someone of being stupid or being without integrity is a personal attack. Please do not continue to act in this way. Gwernol 18:46, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
