Notability of Califrnia High School

edit

A tag has been placed on Califrnia High School, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Charles 23:48, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

On April 18, 2007, User:VT hawkeye made a hard revert to an earlier edit to the page with this edit summary:

rv to 24.68.250.82 (pre-MLS addition). If you're going to add MLS, support it in the article body (and on the talk page wouldn't hurt either).

By re-adding MLS, you inserted POV into an article without building consensus and against the stated will of at least one Wikipedia editor. Please try to build consensus in such situations in the future. Morgan Wick 05:29, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Social Democratic Party of America

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Social Democratic Party of America, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Dallas Sting

edit

Hey what's going on. Would you be able to provide a citation link for the Dallas Sting joining the WPS in 2010? I havent seen any official information about it on the WPS site. Thanks. —ᚹᚩᛞᛖᚾᚻᛖᛚᛗ (ᚷᛖᛋᛈᚱᛖᚳ) 12:55, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I didnt see anything either, but I'll admit that I didnt look very hard. See if you can find any info. I'll try contacting WPS by email. —ᚹᚩᛞᛖᚾᚻᛖᛚᛗ (ᚷᛖᛋᛈᚱᛖᚳ) 05:57, 3 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
The WPS responded to my email, and apparently the Dallas Sting thing is a no-go, so I went ahead and removed the information accordingly. They did say that they wanna expand into a Texan market, but just not with the Sting joining apparently. Take it easy. —ᚹᚩᛞᛖᚾᚻᛖᛚᛗ (ᚷᛖᛋᛈᚱᛖᚳ) 02:54, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Math equation

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Math equation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. PhGustaf (talk) 01:43, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
