Yeah, thanks for helping me out on those two pages. I've a had some disputes with those users in the past. I didn't know that "Fars" was an Arabized word, that's very interesting. I mean, why should we have the page be moved to "Fars people" if it's an Arab word? It just doesn't make any sense.

I'm trying to stay neutral, as there are so many distortions due to nationalism it's ridiculous. Keep in mind that we shouldn't have everything be towards the Persian POV as well. ;) Thanks again! --Khoikhoi 18:39, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

I am a proud Persian. But the big majority of Persians are not blind nationalists. I myself was a wikipedian at the beginning of 2005 and I started many pages and biographies about persians. In most cases I have just refered to them as Iranian and very rarely I mentioned their ethnicity. However I am quite sure that you can not find even one page about one Iranian kurd in wikipedia where his ethnicity was not mentioned. I am a persian and I love our culture but I rarely use the word persian just to make Iranian kurds and arabs happy. Persians consider Kurds as Iranian, historically, culturally and officially. But as you may have noticed some Iranian Kurds are reluctant to consider themselves as Iranian. They hate Iran and Persians. There is also one point that may be interesting for you. There is no problem between Kurds and Persians in Iran. The problem is between Shia people (persian and azeri and kurds) and Sunni kurds. The problem is mainly Shia-Sunni problem. Shia Kurds live in Kermanshah province of Iran and Sunni Kurds live in Kurdistan province and West Azerbaijan province. Up to now there were no protest or demonstration ... in Kermanshah. and all protest and oppressions by central regime happens in regions where Sunni Kurds live. Our Oil minister and government spokeman etc were Shia Kurds during last 8 years. But Sunni Kurds do not consider Shia Kurds as proper Kurds! In summary there is no problem between Kurds and Persians and we are culturally very close. Our regime is neither Persian nor Kurdish prone. It is only Shia prone. The government tried a lot to destroy persian names and also delete persian culture from books and public sphere. These information might be interesting for you. It is a long time that Persians are putting blind nationalism aside. But Kurds see our regime as a persian regime ! You may find it interesting that Iran's leader is Azeri, previous president was arab and her wife is also arab (daughter of Musa Sadr from lebonan). The heads of military forces are arabs and azeri. Our Previous parliament speaker was Lur and the head of Judiciary system is also arab! Why Kurds call this regime a persian regime ???? Just because every body speak Persian language ! Yes because this is the only language through which all iranians can communicate in practice (just like English in today's world). It is interesting the during thousand years many ethnic groups occupied Iran but they adopted Persian as their official language. Finally I would like to mention that no Persian will try to destroy Kurdish culture as they (persians) consider it an integral part of Iranian culture. Any ways ! that's a long story. Persian people

The user Aucaman has been vandalizing Persian people, as well as several other Iran-related articles, claiming that "modern Persians are mix of Arabs and Mongols" editing the article, or adding a dispute tag, based on his own personal assumptions and conclusions without any valid source to support such outrageous revisionist theory. If you have an opinion on this topic, please join the Talk:Persian_people, so we can reach a consensus for the removal of the "dispute tag".

Iranian Watchdog'

Aucaman and a few others like Heja Helweda and Diyako have been repeatedly and systematically vandalizing the Iran-related topics such as Persian people and Iranian peoples, propagating false information, maliciously editing/disputing/deleting without one shred of proof to backup their wild claims, applying the strawman falsification approach, trying to establish new 'facts" based on their own personal assumptions and beliefs.

In order to prevent this situation, we need to create an Iranian Watchdog on Wikipedia and guard the integrity and quality of all the Wikipedia articles that are related to Iran and Iranians. Please let me know if you think that's a good idea. --ManiF 13:01, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

User:Diyako is trying to make an alternative ficticious definition of Newroz

User:Diyako has created an article on a Turkic-Nowruz without mention of its Iranian history and roots. Soon we will here Nowruz has nothing to do with Iran too. His article is Nevruz. This should be merged or edited properly. He has gone on the Turkish discussions to promote it.

Here is what user:Diyako has written;

Nevruz is the spring festival among Turkic-speaking nations, from Turkey to Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan etc. It is very similar to the Iranian festival of Norouz.

According to Turkish legends Nevruz dates back to era of Gökturks.

Th user Diyako is definnityl anti-Iranian and has an anti-Iranian agenda.

Nevruz is not very similar to the Irnian festival of Norouz it is Norouz!

He has claimed the Kurdish flag has nothing to do with Iran and is a crime to fly in Iran. The Kurdish flag is based on the Iranian flag it is even in the memories of the founders of the Mehbad Republic who wanted to showcase their Aryan and Mede heritage. Back then Kurds only had a oral history about their only know ancestors the Mede and Mede heritage, before other ancestors were accepted. The Sun is also very significant element of ancient Iranian and Zorasatrianism. Diyako is misleading everyone. Go to Kurdistan 20 years ago let alone 50 they will say we are Aryans and our own blood relatives are the Persians. The Kurdish flag is not banned in Iran and is based on Iranian colours. This user also claims the Iranians are only a lingustic group after he saw that the tide was against him that Kurds are in definition an Iranian people so he worked to undermine the definition of Iranian people and even Persians with user:Acuman.

This user is aditionally using the owrd Farsi in a provactive and degrading way nd has states that the "Farsi Editors" have no credibility and so on. He has full knowledge tht some find this term provacative, but uses it to insitage anger. See his discussion page.
