F1 results tables edit

Hi Gokul009. Thanks for your recent contributions to F1 results tables. One point to note is that WP:F1 standard is to retain the <small> code for races with fastest lap but not pole position; the <small> code is only removed for races with pole position. Regards. Addition of pole positons and fastest laps to F1 season summary articles edit

Hi Gokul009. I notice you've recently highlighted the pole positions and fastest laps in the "Drivers" table for several of the F1 season summary articles. I've started a discussion about this at WP:F1. I encourage you to participate in the discussion. DH85868993 (talk) 02:35, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

F1 race reports edit

Gokul, please don't add race reports which don't match the results tables and then edit them bit-by-bit, as you did with 2000 French Grand Prix (and it looks like you were about to do with 2000 Austrian Grand Prix). Please just write the complete race report somewhere else (e.g. in a sandbox) and then add it all at once. If you don't know how to create a sanbox, I can help you with that. 1990 Formula One season summary edit

Hi Gokul009. Some people (myself included) have expressed the opinion that the information you are adding to the "Season summary" section of 1990 Formula One season is a bit too detailed for such a section. You may care to contribute to the discussion at WP:F1. DH85868993 (talk) 14:55, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Warnings edit

My edits to articles like the 1995 Formula One Season is not vandalism at all. I have seen in WP:F1 that there is talk of an 'anonymous user' deleting chunk from F1 seasons and replacing them bit by bit with much larger contents. I was that person and I never wanted to vandalise any pages but I just wanted to add short race reports on the season. I'd also like to know how to create a sandbox. -Gokul009 (Talk) 08:49, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Gokul. To create a sandbox, just click on this link - that will take you to a new page called "User:Gokul009/Sandbox". Press the "Save" button and the page will be created. You can edit your sandbox when and however you like; once you're happy with the contents, you can copy and paste them into the article you want to update. Editing - Sandbox? edit

Hello Gokul009. I see you're having some problems with other users interpreting your editing patterns. If you intend to rewrite articles such as 1995 Formula One season in stages, then it would be a good idea to draft the revised material fully in a personal sandbox before deleting the existing content, as what you're doing at the moment can be mistaken for vandalism. Happy editing!-- Diniz (talk) 23:40, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

2008 Spanish Grand Prix edit

Do you read other people's edit summaries or talk pages? There is a discussion there on the subject you keep blindly reverting, I suggest you air your issues there. Further unexplained reversions will only look like vandalism. Bretonbanquet (talk) 20:39, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Indy articles edit

Hi Gokul. I've noticed you creating a whole load of articles (in fact, an impressive number) on 'Indy' races (e.g. 2007 Peak Antifreeze Indy 300). But since none of them has a lede, it's sort of difficult for someone like me who doesn't know much about racing to work out the context of the article. Do you think you know enough details of the races to add one? Something along the lines of

The 2007 Peak Antifreeze Indy 300 was an Indy 300 motor race held in [month], 2007 at [venue], as part of the [name] racing season.

(I'm sure you can tell from that that I don't know much about racing, but hopefully you get the idea!) Also if you could add the source you got the results from to the article that would be great. Olaf Davis | Talk 09:54, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Gokul. Just wondered if you got my previous message and had any thoughts about ledes for these articles? Olaf Davis | Talk 09:57, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

2008 Indycar series edit

Instead of throwing insults at each other, you instead wish to take part in the discussion here. It will likely remove the point of your arguement. --Falcadore (talk) 07:17, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

You need to provide a source as to why Justin Wilson did not record the fastest laps of the the Detroit and Chicagoland races. Over the weekend I checked Indycar's official timesheets and they state the fastest laps were recorded by Wilson. Alternatively if the squabble does not end perhaps the better answer is to remove the fastest lap column entirely as it is not generally considered a significant statistic in US racing. --Falcadore (talk) 03:40, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

2007 IndyCar Series season edit

Please refrain from reverting mine or User:Drdisque's edits. There is a discussion at Talk:2009_IndyCar_Series_season#Schedule_summary which shows a consensus of keeping calendars as basic as possible. Cs-wolves(talk) 13:21, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

WTCC Race Reports edit

Hi there. Thanks for starting to work on the WTCC race reports. You're doing a great job so far as I find results tables monumentally boring to do. Keep up the good work. Thanks, mspete93 [talk] 14:02, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
