Street medic article

edit

Considering your extensive work in such a short time on street medic organizations, I see a fork coming. I'm going to separate off the list of street medic groups into a new article, List of street medic organizations. SchuminWeb (Talk) 21:23, 24 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hey!

Hey Grace, awesome to hear from you again. We haven't talked in forever. I'm glad to help with whatever wikipedia-related thing you need. Just ask on my talk page. Only problem is my internet connection's been down at home lately so I can only write from school which Im' not at much lately. I'm finishing up my thesis in school (graduating in like 2 months! Whee!) and i have my big scary bacc exam coming up in 3 weeks. but after that i can be on wikipedia like all the time (the true fanatic in me can come out!). So yeah, I'm glad to help but my replies may be some time in coming :( . But that's awesome that you're working on improving the street medic article. I noticed that there's a lot of discussion about it on the action dash medical at yahoogroups list(i'm writing it that way to confuse spambots). but i didn't really read the messages, just noticed that they existed. Anyway, thanks for dropping me a line, I was psyched to hear from you. Peace, delldot | talk 19:10, 27 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Street Medic Wiki

edit

Since Wikia uses the same software as Wikipedia (MediaWiki), all syntax and coding is exactly the same. From WP:CAT#Subcategories:

"Creating subcategories takes only a few additional steps. Adding a category tag to a category page makes the edited category a subcategory of the category specified in the tag.

First create a new category page for the subcategory the same way you would make a regular category. For example, create Category:Soccer.

Then go to the newly created category page and edit it. Add the category tag for the parent category (e.g. Category:Sports) to the page.

In this example, the Soccer category would then be a subcategory of the Sports category."

Any other questions? --Daniel Olsen 01:48, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

To move the page, you'd use the move function to move it to one of the desired new pages, then manually cut and paste relevant information into the nest new article, and then edit the original article to just contain links to the new two. --Daniel Olsen 00:05, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Graduation

edit

Sure, come on down if you want, I mean, it's just a gaudation, and they're probably all equally boring. However, it is the time of year when hippie christmas happens, and the dumpster diving is MIND BLOWING. You know this, you went to hampshire. Last May we set up a "free store" where people brought stuff they were throwing out and it was pretty huge. So that's always fun. But funner if you have a car or vehicle for hauling. If you do come down, you can stay on our couch. BUt I recommend coming down not during graduation so we'll have more time to actually hang out, since that will be a busy time. Where do you live, anyway? I could come visit you after december (I graduate in december but the graduation ceremony is in may). Anyway, email me at delldot at gmail to discuss in depth non-wikipedia topics since I'm not sure if we're really supposed to be using talk pages for just shooting the breeze. Anyway, i"m psyched that we're back in touch. Wikipedia, the great social uniter! Peace, delldot | talk 02:48, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Domain stuff

edit

The domain name's expired? YOu know you can get a free domain name at [1]? I can ask my computer savvy boyfriend about it if you want to set something up.

I'm still freakishly busy, helping organize a protest against this anti-lodging ordinance that makes it illegal to sleep outside. it's pretty awesome, homeless folks are really hard core into organizing it. You could come down for it December 8 if you can make it! Otherwise we'll have another thing later. Peace, delldot | talk 17:10, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

List of street medic organizations, general what's up

edit

Hi hi! Looooooong time no see, way too long. Doesn't look like you've been around lately, I'll try to find your email address and email you. I've been meaning to say hello, but I actually came by about List of street medic organizations: I really hate to do it, but I think it needs to be AFD'd: It doesn't have any reliable sources, just the groups' own webpages. I think a lot of the material might not even be in any sources. Is the info already on the street medic wiki? If not, we should add it there. We could also add the info to a subpage in the userspace, for example into a subpage of yours, so if someone wants to work on getting reliable sources they can. I'm sorry, I feel like a jerk!

Aaaaanyway, so I graduated, uh, November 06 I think, got state reciprocity for my EMT cert, now I work as a tech in an observation unit off the ER (where I'm writing from now!). Hope you're doing well, and that I'm able to dig up your email and get in touch with you. Peace, wrm delldot on a public computer talk 09:24, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
