July 2019 edit

Hello. Your recent edit to Riverview High School (Sarasota, Florida) appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. In addition, for alumni lists, there must be a reliable source to verify attendance at the school. Also, external links should not normally be placed in the body of an article. NVICP related edits edit

Hello. On chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy you added that CIDP featured in the list of conditions covered by the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. When checked in the source, this is factually incorrect. CIDP is not known to be vaccine-related. What the source actually says is that if someone meets the diagnostic criteria for CIDP they are not considered to have Guillain-Barré syndrome and they are not eligible for the programme.

Hi. Sorry for the confusing post on CIDP. What I was trying to do was let people know about the NVICP, and that there is compensation available for some people who have CIDP. @Jfdwolff and JFW:. I removed that post because I checked the info he thought was spam and it was not spam. I was still new to editing stuff on wikipedia at the time, and did not know to cite correctly. But essentially what I was saying was true in that scenario and this one, there is compensation for people getting CIDP after a vaccination. Gildilocks (talk) 11:33, 24 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

The point is, the document says the opposite. It says that if someone has possible Guillain-Barré syndrome but the diagnosis is more consistent with CIDP, compensation is not given. CIDP is not linked with vaccination. JFW | T@lk 21:00, 24 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations. (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them.) WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which has a button "Cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "Automatic" or "Manual"
  3. For Manual: Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details, then click "Insert"
  4. For Automatic: Paste the URL or PMID/PMC and click "Generate" and if the article is available on PubMed Central, Citoid will populate a citation which can be inserted by clicking "Insert"
