The Multidisciplinary and Multiscale Device and Design Laboratory

edit

The Multidisciplinary and Multiscale Device and Design Laboratory or M2D2[1] is founded by IISc Professor G. K. Ananthasuresh[2] on the year 2004. M2D2 is an academic research laboratory, of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India[3]. Micromanipulation and Biodesign Laboratory is another active part of the M2D2. The M2D2 is extensively involved into several interdisciplinary research. The research activity of M2D2 is on computational and experimental, like Structural Optimization, Topology Optimization, Compliant mechanism, Microelectromechanical systems or microsystems, Micromanipulation of biological cell, Protein folding and Energy harvesting [4].
