Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Aishwarya Rai article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. --Yamla 20:15, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unsourced

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Aishwarya Rai, is not consistent with our policy on attribution and verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Yamla 15:24, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. Continuing to add unsourced or original content, as you did to Aishwarya Rai, is considered vandalism and may result in a block. --Yamla 14:14, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

You said: "If I want to upload a picture then what should I do?"

First, you want to make sure it does not violate WP:FU. We may not use fair-use images (promotional images, film screenshots, etc.) to depict living subjects. If that's all good, go to Special:Upload and upload your image. Make sure you choose an appropriate license and provide the source (identifying the copyright holder) and other mandatory details. --Yamla 15:03, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading Image:8564-17-b.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Yamla 14:27, 3 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
