Duplicate articles

Please don't create duplicate articles on Wikipedia. If two articles have substantially the same content, the title of one should be redirected to the other. If you have a dispute about content, please discuss it on the article's talk page. Thanks. ~Amatulić (talk) 18:42, 3 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Copy-and-paste moves

edit

Hi, Geysztor. I noticed you attempted to move the article Giejsztor coat of arms to Geysztor Coat of Arms by copying and pasting its contents. This is not a good way to move an article, because it destroys the history of the article. Instead, if an article should be moved to a different title, please use the page move feature; see Wikipedia:Moving a page for more information.

I have attempted to clean up the situation by moving the old page, Giejsztor coat of arms, to the title Geysztor coat of arms (in accordance with the Wikipedia naming conventions about capitalization) and making all similar titles into redirects (so now Giejsztor Coat of Arms, Giejsztor coat of arms, Geysztor Coat of Arms, and Coat of arms of Giejsztor all redirect to Geysztor coat of arms). I have also incorporated into the Geysztor coat of arms article all changes that you made to the Geysztor Coat of Arms article, so the current version of Geysztor coat of arms should be the same as the last version of Geysztor Coat of Arms before I made it a redirect.

I hope that this is an acceptable solution. If something is still not right, please let me know or discuss it on the article's talk page at Talk:Geysztor coat of arms, and let me know if you need help or have questions. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 11:42, 4 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
