Is it too early for me to apply to become an administrator? I have already made close to 100 edits and really like to take on more responobility in the wikipedia circle. Thanks.--Gerald Hogan 02:43, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Gerald Hogan, and welcome to Wikipedia. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I am fairly confident that you would not be successful in a bid for adminship at this point, as the community consensus tends to require a larger volume of contributions before being able to judge your level of trustworthiness. There isn't any magic number, but I can't recall any successful requests with an edit count with fewer than four digits! You need to spend enough time being active in the community in order for people to recognize you and your contributions. If you would like to take on more responsibility, there are plenty of non-admin tasks that you can jump in and work on though! A great place to find something to do is Maintenance. I also notice that you have noted on your userpage that you ARE an administrator, which is not actually the case. If this information was added in error (ie, by using another's userpage as a template), I would be happy to help you fix it. Just let me know, here or on my talkpage. I hope I have been helpful to you!--Xnuala (talk)(Review) 03:43, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Xnuala. I did use another wikipedian userpage as a template for mine, hence the reason mine states that i am an administrator. I would be more than happy for you to fix this for me. Thanks. Gerald Hogan 04:33, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
All done, if you have any more questions please don't hesitate to contact me!--Xnuala (talk)(Review) 04:40, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
