Kiera's Review

Hello~

My name is Kiera, and I am your peer review. First of all, I just want to honestly express my thoughts on your article, so I apologize in advance if I accidentally interpret my thinking in a rude way. :)

In my opinion, your lead section is a bit too detailed. However, the two sentences actually gave me a really good idea about the topic, and can be simplified more like '...depleted (positive) and enriched (negative)...'. With other information, it can be broken down to a few more sections such as classification. Maybe, add a citation for your leading section as well?

The structure can be broken down to more sections with specific parts. It was a bit hard to follow since the paragraphs are long, especially for the last part (Cerium Anomalies in Coal). I recommend to divide each section into paragraphs with 3-4 concise sentences. Is the cerium anomaly classified by positive vs negative or III vs IV charge or substances' composition?

The coverage balance is a little bit off. I have not received enough information to understand the cerium anomaly yet, and the part of cerium anomalies in other substances takes the most article. Therefore, I got confused as I read down the article. Could it be possible to give more explanation on cerium III and IV? Sorry for asking too much. I think the information in Zircon and Coal parts should be relatively same amount to keep the balance, and it will be easier to compare them as well.

The content is neutral. There is no sign of biased opinion nor claims on behalf of unnamed groups or people.

Except the leading section, other sections are followed by reliable sources. There is a review was used on the main page that you did not include in your draft, is that the source for the leading section? Almost all sentences in the last 2 parts are attributed to the 2 sources. I don't think it is a problem, but I think you can just cite at the end of the paragraph rather than every single consecutive sentence.

I'm looking forward to seeing your final draft! This is sure an interesting topic!
