Reverting Vandalism

edit

Hi, thank you for your recent reverts to vandalism in the Sheffield article. However, I noticed that you manually removed the vandalism, and you added new content in the same edit. This is a problem because you did not spot all of the vandalism, making it difficult to fix the article without removing the new content that you added. You can learn a better way to fix vandalism here: Help:Reverting. The Sheffield article is watched by a number of experienced editors and administrators, so if you are unsure of how to fix vandalism don't worry, someone else will fix it fairly quickly.—Jeremy (talk) 17:45, 7 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sock puppet accusations

edit

Hi, I'm sorry if you feel upset by any accusations, however I would advise to ignore it and carry on editing. My desire is to create high quality, well sourced encyclopedia articles; and if you are helping in that task then I don't really care whether or not this is a sock puppet account. George Griffiths has been indefinitely blocked from Wikipedia for vandalism and disruptive behaviour, so any account that he edits from is a sock puppet account—I am completely aware that he has been editing from the User:GeorgeGriffiths account, but I have chosen not to block it yet because so far he has not repeated the behaviour that led to his being blocked. He is operating a sock puppet accounts on Wikipedia, and your account was marked by CaptainScarlet as one that looked like it could be a sock puppet of his; you are however free to remove the badge from your userpage at any time.—Jeremy (talk) 18:05, 1 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
