Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you.  Abhishek  Talk 13:55, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Kolkata image additions

edit

Thanks for your additions of the images to Kolkata, some are really good I must accept. However, it being a Featured Article we need to maintain certain standards and quality. If you wish to add any image, it need to be discussed at Talk:Kolkata first, then after receiving consensus we may consider such additions. Amartyabag TALK2ME 15:55, 19 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Alt image text

edit

Thanks for adding the images to Kolkata, however I have changed the alt text for the image. ALT text is generally used to help visually challenged readers, so they can know the content of the image. Please go through Wikipedia:Alternative text for images, if you have not already. Regards. Amartyabag TALK2ME 03:40, 26 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Kolkata image additions

Hi!! Hope you are doing well. I have reverted some of your image additions to Kolkata due to probable copyright issues. Kindly see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Kolkata_Imgs.jpg to know how to attribute copyright in case of an image compilation. Again a request, please discuss before image additions. We will be more than happy to add beautiful images. Amartyabag TALK2ME 11:02, 9 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Bengal Tennis Association Stadium

edit

The article Bengal Tennis Association Stadium has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I don't see this topic as being notable. The tennis stadium for a Challenger level event?

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
