Hi Gennoveus! I noticed that you are looking for an article to translate from Japanese. If you are interested in Buddhism, you could translate any of the red links in the "name" column of List of National Treasures of Japan (sculptures). The Japanese names are in parantheses after the English name. Most important would probably be the Thousand-armed Kannon (ja:千手観音). If Buddhism is not your cup of o-cha, maybe one of the articles in Wikipedia:Requested articles/Japan interests you. bamse (talk) 06:33, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wow - very fast response, Bamse. I'm actually interested in technical articles more than anything else, but perhaps doing something outside of my comfort zone might be educational. I only started looking at this yesterday, so I might take a few days to get comfortable with editing Wikipedia again before I start going full steam ahead. Either way I'll let you know and at least some of the stuff you've suggested will definitely be going on my todo list.
Thanks!

Glad that you are going to translate this important article. Yes, I know the article is about the god not any National Treasure statues. bamse (talk) 08:19, 26 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. In 2009 you joined up for the wikiproject Wikipedia:WikiProject Intertranswiki. The project has since ceased activity but is currently being given a kick start due to its importance and the coordination needed to translate content from other wikipedias. If you're still active and are still interested please visit the bottom of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Intertranswiki and add a {{tick}} by your name within the next week so the project can do a recount and update. Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:20, 29 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
