I think a location map would be a good start as well as some type of description of the geological origin of the basin in which the oil field is found. We need to know the background of the geology followed by a clear explanation of the system including source rocks, seal, reservoir and traPPing mechanism probably each of which should have their own section describing in as much detail as you can the relevant aspects of each formation in the formation of the hydrocarbon accumulation. I would suggest perhaps a stratigraphic diagram or table which would allow people to see the age and type of sediment. I would try and provide as much information as possible such as things like organic carbon content, porosity permeability characteristics etc. Pclift (talk) 16:43, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hey Garrett, this is not an acceptable draft yet. FIX ITGarrett.Nielsen (talk) 00:25, 31 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

You have a good description of the units. However, I would suggest you separate them by using the formation name instead of "A sand" etc. Make a tectonic section and talk about the formation of this basin and also the type of basin it is. A stratigraphic column would help to better show the ages of the formations and also the lithologies. Maybe think about breaking the formations down into separate categories such as Source rock and reservoir rock. Make sections that detail the trapping and seal structures, this will make it easier for people to navigate. I was having a hard time linking the organic carbon content and porosity information to its respective formation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajaco18 (talkcontribs) 20:57, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
