Testing?

edit

Hi GMTV. I can't tell exactly what's happening here, but either you're testing in the main article space or you're vandalising articles in small ways.

In the last couple of hours, you've materially damaged article such as Central Independent Television, ITV1, Matt Baker, Sky One and This Morning (television).

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

That way, if you're just making simple errors, we can all understand what you're trying to do and help you do it!

If you've got editing questions of any type, you can always drop me a line as I'm always happy to help new editors here at Wikipedia in any way I can and we need good editors to work on our Independent Television-related articles! Thanks! ➨ ЯΞDVΞRS 19:43, 29 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Itv1itvproductionsendcapitv.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ➨ ЯΞDVΞRS 15:57, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Removing warning tags from images

edit

Do not remove the warning tags from images that have no source or copyright information. Removing such tags, as you did with Image:Itv1itvproductionsendcapitv.jpg and Image:Id-sky-oe-1g.jpg is considered to be vandalism, which can result in you being blocked from editing. If you are not prepared to provide the copyright and source information that Wikipedia requires for legal reasons, then please ask someone to delete the image for you instead. Thank you. ➨ ЯΞDVΞRS 21:27, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

The WB Television Network / UPN

edit

Please be aware that UPN and The WB are still open, and will be until The CW launches. Keep this in mind before making further edits to these articles. Thank you for your understanding. --WCQuidditch 16:32, 25 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Moving "ITV" to "Independent Television"

edit

Independent Television is no longer a name used to describe this network; ITV is now the official name as it can no longer be described as totally "Independent". Please do not move articles like this again without consulting the talk page or actually understanding the article you are moving. Administrators will be made known of any further irrelavent moves like this, and irrelavent moves will be reverted by them. This is the third time I have witnessed an irrelavent article/action made by you. Marbles333 11:52, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Stupid (TV channel)

edit

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Stupid (TV channel), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Stupid (TV channel). You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. tgheretford (talk) 23:18, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Jez Edwards

edit

The article Jez Edwards has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable TV presenter. Not enough reliable sources from which to write any kind of biography.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kevin (talk) 03:24, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello GMTV! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 872 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Kevin Duala - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
