Consensus was most certainly reached: [1] and stop removing maintanance tags. Active Banana (bananaphone 20:11, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- I, and the other editors in the discusssion, consider including channel numbers in listings to be a directory/tv guide which wikipedia is NOT. The consensus was that identification of the names of channels provided encyclopedic content (which wikipedia is) but channel numbers were ephemoral and not. - WP:NOTDIR does not explictly states channels numbers. G8crash3r | Talk 20:27, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- It doesnt have to explicitely forbid. No policy explicitely forbids putting the word "Crenshaw" into every article, but we dont do that either. And you have been shown many many times that the community HAS come to the consensus that including channel numbers is NOT appropriate. Active Banana (bananaphone 20:34, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- again, cut me some slack and leave the article alone. G8crash3r | Talk 20:35, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- again, I did "cut you some slack." I gave you 6 months since the time the community determined that channel numbers were not something that should be in articles for you to remove them yourself. You didnt. You edit warred to return them. I "cut you some slack" by leaving them in for you to remove yourself, but instead you edit war to remove clean up tags. I "cut you some slack" by not reporting you for that vandalism. Active Banana (bananaphone 21:09, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on SkyCable. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Mop
editAs has been pointed out to you before, Wikipedia Administrators are simply editors with a WP:MOP and have no more authority to single handedly determine policy than any other editor. The community determines consensus. And the community HAS determined consensus that including channel numbers is NOT what Wikipedia articles are about. Active Banana (bananaphone 20:26, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

This is your last warning; the next time you remove the maintenance templates from Wikipedia articles without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you did at SkyCable, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Tags remain on the article until the issues have been settled. There is no consensus needed to add a tag. Active Banana (bananaphone 20:31, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
WP:NOTDIR does not explictly state channels numbers. Why can't you understand that and don't be a policy police, Wikipedia does not revolve around you. G8crash3r | Talk 20:32, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
"cut me some slack"?
editWhy do you think that you should be able to WP:OWN the article and have it violate community consensus? Active Banana (bananaphone 20:39, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- And I have "cut you some slack" because I have not yet reported you for your vandalism of removing the tags. Active Banana (bananaphone 20:41, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- know what active banana, since you're onto it, you can just delete the article, the purpose of having those channel numbers is for informational purposes only and is being done out of good faith, if you think its improper to have it, delete the article then and i will take the article somewhere else where everyone can write anything without being judged as improper. I guess being friendly to authors has also died in Wikipedia. G8crash3r | Talk 20:44, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- I do not want to delete the article. I want the article to be an encyclopedic entry in the on-line encyclopedia Wikipedia. An article that supplies verified encyclopedic content to users about the topic. I do not want wikipedia to become a free webhosting advertisement for a cable company too cheap to keep an updated and userfriendly channel listing on their own site. That is not why many thousands of people have contributed money to Wikipedia. Active Banana (bananaphone 20:47, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I'll just tag the article for deletion instead. G8crash3r | Talk 20:52, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

Cartoon Network HD on SkyCable
editAs far as I'm and SkyCable are concerned, Cartoon Network HD is not yet officially launched when it conducted a test a broadcast on January 20 and hold its broadcast the day after its supposed launched on January 20 but on January 24, SkyCable resumed Cartoon Network HD's test broadcast on channel 178. SkyCable on its part acknowledge the fact that is it currently available to all its HD subscribers for free and not yet ready to formally launch it as it is currently preparing what and how much the package will cost. Subscribers are able to view the restricted test broadcast by refreshing their respective digibox because of the E17-13 error. Thus any information placing Cartoon Network HD as launched channel on SkyCable is irrelevant. I hope this will clear the issue. Webwires 05:14, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
- UPDATE: Channel 178 is reserved. There is no test broadcast ongoing, while channel 178 is tagged as Cartoon Network HD already, the tagging is for preparation for the official launch which will be done anytime soon hence channel 178 is reserved. The only test broadcast conducted was on January 20.

Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175
editDear G8crash3r,
Greetings!
As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.
Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.
Thank you and maraming salamat po!
Kind regards,
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
