RE your note

edit

Hi Frinny, thanks for your note. Don't worry, you didn't incorrectly sign any of your edits, my welcome message just includes general advice for newcomers. Putting four tildes, ~~~~, after your message is used only when signing your name after you leave a message on a talk page or wikipedia messageboard. It just inserts your name and date of your message to maintain continuity and coherence.

I started out editing on Wikipedia the same way you have, copyediting poor English and correcting spelling. There is lots to learn about the workings behind the hood on Wikipedia, but the great thing about the project is that it isn't going anywhere so everyone can learn at their own pace over time. I hope you enjoy editing here and if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask me or anyone else. Happy editing! Antarctic-adventurer (talk) 04:52, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
