Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Request reason:

I am well aware of the guidelines and mistakenly included wrong info on this page. For this reason I would prefer changing just my username rather than creating a new account so the Dragons article I created last month will be associated with the new username. Could you please provide me with the info or link for doing so? I would also like to find out the status of that article. How do I do that? I cannot find any FAQs or articles discussing timing for approvals. And have not seen any edits or comments yet. Thank you for your help with this.

Decline reason:

Procedural close. Superseded by the unblock template, including name change request, below. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 19:22, 7 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Firstly, let me say that a userpage cannot be hosted by any company or organization, and claiming this on your userpage is not acceptable. Accounts here are for one person only, and editing on behalf of an organization is not allowed.
  • Secondly, to answer your question: to request unblock for a username change, go up to you unblock request above this comment; replace the "new username" with you chosen, non-promotional name and replace your comment after "reason" with a short comment relating to your wish to change your name. You can discuss the article if unblocked, but please note the questions below.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 19:08, 5 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Here's a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a subject that you are trying to create an article about, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to break the 3 important questions above.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 19:09, 5 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I would like to simply change my username and have it apply to me personally rather than my Friendly Giant nickname (and business name). My mistake earlier in typing in the notice. Knew better. Can I edit that or remove it in some way? I would like my earlier Dragons article to remain associated with my new username. Is there an update on that article? Thank you.
