Nuuyoma Senior Secondary School is a School in Omusati region in Oshikuku Constituency between Oshakati and Outapi main road in the northern part of Namibia. This School was officially opened in opened in (June) 1970 with two boys, girls hostel and a Dining Hal [1] and was officially inaugurated by Mr Nahas Angula in 1972, Nuuyoma was named after the founding father of our country Dr Sam Nujoma.
[2]The first Principle for Nuuyoma SSS was MRS Natalia Nakaambo and later in 2006 was replaced by MR Kamwi after the retirement of MR Kamwi in 2009 he was successfully replaced by MR Silas Mulongeni . Nuuyoma SSS specialize in four field of study namely: Science, Social, Commerce and Social study.
Nuuyoma is an academic based at, being best rated on the 3rd position in Omusati region with quality and best education. beside this Nuuyoma is well equipped with a Computer laboratory, Physical Science, Biology lab as well as the Computer laboratory with a variety of features to cater for most learners to improve their knowledge and skills.Apart from academic based Nuuyoma has an excellent sport facility such as soccer field Netball and Basketball field that have made them to host all types of sport event there also they usually obtain Trophies in most ceases. This is due to their COACH MRS Aluma.[3]
