Sources edit

Hey, given you know these pretty detailed statistics about Four Mile Lake, I was hoping you could add some mention of where you got the information from. Even just describing it on the talk page will help others to properly reference the information. Welcome to Wikipedia by the way, and feel free to ask any questions you have to me or over at the village pump. Cheers, ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 21:28, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've got a cottage on Silver Lake, which has definitely inspired all the editing I've done to Kawartha-related articles. If you're ever in doubt on sourcing, you can always throw the website URL, or whatever information you have, between a <ref> and </ref> tag. Then at the bottom of the article place {{reflist}}, and it will list the references.
There's plenty of help around the site for referencing (WP:REFERENCES is the main one), but I personally found it easier just to look at an article with references on it, and emulate them, rather than to read the novels worth of information. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 20:17, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
