Papilio dardanus edit

Hello, nice to see you've joined Wikipedia. To upload images and other media (i.e. videos in this case) you should go to Wikimedia Commons (here) and follow the instructions. Photos aren't too bad so you can pretty much try that out yourself and get me to check that you're doing everything right. Videos are a bit more difficult though. You have to convert them to the .ogg format (like sound files), which isn't that easy to do and I'm still not that familiar with the process having converted most of mine using a couple of free, fairly unreliable websites (I think VLC media player can do it though I haven't really tried). As you can see ([1]) I haven't uploaded many videos yet. I would focus on photos to start with, and contact me here or at Commons if you need assistance. By the way, I'm uploading these photos of the species from Flickr, so we have a good start (almost all insects have no photos and no articles, for comparison). Richard001 (talk) 06:57, 22 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've made some comments on your commons talk page relating to images. I've also added a gallery for the species (sort of like a category but more geared towards presentation and a little less inclusive (though in this case all images have been included). Video edit

I've uploaded your video as an ogg file to Commons. Your YouTube message was too long so the permission part got partly cut off in the email from YouTube. Can I get you to email Commons using the template found here? Richard001 (talk) 23:00, 26 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
