- If you want to be an editor, you need to fulfill the first requirement for a copy editor: the ability to write and spell in the English language. Flamingoflorida is likely a member of the Recanati family. She is well acquainted with the family and passionate about correcting the errors she perceives. Her disambiguation of Lenny and Leon Recanti, cousins both named for grandfather Leon Yehuda Recanati is valuable. On the other hand, she has demonstrated limited ability to edit in accord with Wikipedia standards, including WP:MOS and WP:CITE. Her edits have exhibited an ongoing problem with WP:NPOV, for example her edits to Overseas Shipholding Group, removing assertions about the company's bankruptcy, claiming that no sources were provided. A responsible editor would have added information about the bankruptcy and subsequent emergence with references. I recommend that the ban on her editing anything in the Recanati category continue.
Outside that category, her edits to Luann de Lesseps, for example, were disruptive, resulting, I suspect, simply from ignorance of the policies and norms of Wikipedia. I am not sure how to test her compliance with Wikipedia norms to allow her to be unblocked. Her use of sockpuppets, first Artliker, then 2600:387:9:3:0:0:0:BE and other IP addresses, tells me that she would prefer to skirt the rules than comply with them. Ignorance can be cured with education; there is no cure for stupidity.
If she continues to communicate through this user page, I have no particular problem with that. If another editor chooses to surveil the page, confirm the veracity of requests and assertions (with references provided), and make changes, that's fine. The prerequisite, as I described before, is an ability to write and spell in English. I am not in a mood to jump into an edit war with Crazypug over what I believe to be a formatting error in Leon Yehuda Recanati. I have to say that I am personally provoked to read your entreaty to "look over" Discount Investment Corporation. Aside from the superfluous list of holdings, it looks okay to me. - I have fixed the formatting error at Leon Yehuda Recanati by reverting Crazypug's edits which overall have not been helpful. My question would be what is the relationship between Flamingoflorida and Crazypug because another new account opened around the same time editing these same family articles seems a bit too coincidental to me. my command is English is native and I am extremely articulate. I do not want any personal knowledge on those articles. I find your conflict of interest guidelines flawed . To start with the idea the neutral persons understand the intricacies of family connections that there are no public sources for better then a family member is ludicrous and instead of watching over family members edit and make sure they comply. you tell them not to edit that is why I needed sock puppets I had no desire to do sock puppets. i want to edit my family pages completely transparently and have everything I write on those pages checked and made sure I was 100 percent correct with the source and information. Those pages where created without any family output and was full of inaccuracies and biased material. These people are living or have living direct relatives every word matters while a article on a living such as a famous movie star who may have a 1000 articles written to use as sources means that the average will be more less correct but if the people with less then 20 articles like my family need a family member who can fix it. I am not doing this for monetary or promotional gain the family would prefer no articles at all as we are private people. I would like to ask to be unblocked for the reason of if this was your entire family and people created these articles and change them daily without your permission what would you do. would you wait for months leaving falsehood and lies on there or would you do anything to fix it every time a family member gets googled those articles pop up. I want to transparent and edit my family articles with supervision and oversight with anything I can’t prove be removed . I also find Wikipedia wonderful and want to learn how to edit non family articles. I was sloppy before that is no excuse. I am a extremely honest person the last thing I would ever do would create sock puppets unless I felt I had no choice. Please give me a honest way to work. The articles can change many times a day I need to fix them . - Flamingoflorida, all sentences in English begin with a capital letter. Sentences with two independent clauses have a comma before the coordinating conjunction. The oblique reference to Gertrude Stein, "a rose is a rose is a rose", doesn't work for me. If it wasn't a reference to Stein, then it was sloppy work, as was the rest of the paragraph.
- Wikipedia is a crowdsourced effort. It is full of errors. Slowly, eventually, they get corrected. If you can't get on board with that, this is not the place for you. You were offered a deal: stay away from the English language Wikipedia for six months. If you do, they will probably let you back in. If someone discovers that Crazypug is another alter-ego, they will ban you for life and make it impossible for IP editors to work from any Starbucks or public library you've ever visited.
