Let me also welcome you to Wikipedia. I have seen some of your edits and they have been to the point and reflected a good knowledge of the field. History2007 (talk) 08:07, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I have seen some of the edits on Herod's death etc. And it seems to me that Wikipedia does not have a consistent story on that across the pages. In fact I no longer have a clear idea of what the multiple viewpoints may be. You seem to know more about this than I do, and the comments by Glen about the eclipse are interesting. If you have references that will clarify the issue of the date of death of Herod and the birth of Jesus across multiple Wikipedia pages in a consistent manner your help will appreciated. The irony that you would say this. I had recently decided I didn't really know enough about this to get into it. I did some reading a while back on the statements of Josephus and whatever I could get my hands on regarding Herod's death and comparing that information with the NASA catalogue of eclipses, etc. But after it all, I'm less certain. Thanks for the encouragement though. If I come across something I'll try to remember to input this to the article content. Firemute (talk) 01:56, 13 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
