Proposed deletion of Anti-Corruption Measures

edit

The article Anti-Corruption Measures has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

this is an essay and would require a fundemental rewrite to be includable.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope that I don't seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: This is mostly just an fyi, Fighting corruption is well and good, however it is our policy to not write about things we may have a conflict of interest. You may wish to select a different username if you are planning on editing Anti Corruption articles, it might help avoid possible blocks. Again this may not be the case so I mean this purely FYi. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your views, for instance, your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

There are several options available to you:

Thank you. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 12:53, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

A request for changing the username is pending. As I am new I was not aware of this policy. Nonetheless, it is very understandable. Thank you for your remarks!--Fightagainstcorruption (talk) 13:44, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Awesome, thanks for doing that it could've been a pain in the butt later. Welcome to the encyclopedia. I posted a response to you in the AFD board. CheersHell In A Bucket (talk) 13:47, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have nominated Anti-Corruption Measures, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anti-Corruption Measures. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. WuhWuzDat 13:22, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Youmay not be meaning to do this.

Hey there, I see you're editing under your old screen name again. I would let you know for fyi you should really only use this account because you could be accused of sockpuppetry unless someone is fimiliar with the siuatioin. I think it's a simple fix though because I had those same problems when i changed my username. Try logging into the simplyonlyme account and that should fix it. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 14:00, 28 July 2009 (UTC) ok, now it works... But what I did before will not be changed, I think...--Simplyonlyme (talk) 08:45, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

LThats fine it's a common mistake just try not to do it anymore.Hell In A Bucket (talk) 13:30, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

This account, Simplyonlyme, has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because your username does not meet our username policy. This block is only regarding your username—it is not a judgment of either you personally or your contributions.

Names should not be offensive, disruptive, promotional, misleading, or related to a "real-world" group or organization. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

Please choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. However, do not create a new account if you wish to credit your existing contributions to a new name through a username change. To request a username change:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to edit this talk page even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a list of names that have already been taken. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Cirt (talk) 01:43, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
