Hi Ffetcher, nice to have run into you. You were asking how I got that reference to appear; I surrounded it with <nowiki> and </nowiki> tags. That just means it doesn't get processed by wikipedia, but is treated as plain text. Before I added the nowiki tags it was treated as a footnote-style reference and appeared as a small hyperlinked numeral. The actual reference itself doesn't show up until you place the <references/> tag somewhere in the article, preferably just below the "References" heading. When the page is displayed, that tag is replaced with the entire list of footnote references.

There's some pretty amazing stuff you can do with wikipedia, and I'm only really starting to discover all the tricks. But remember, if you want to make changes and can't figure out correct formatting, do it anyway and just put the info in however you can. Someone else will come along and make it look nice.
