Welcome edit

Welcome!

Hello, Ferrariman1954, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Srobak (talk) 06:28, 18 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

July 2011 edit

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Miami Vice, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Srobak (talk) 16:16, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Miami Vice. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. See WP:FANSITE Srobak (talk) 16:17, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

After reading the rules I see nothing wrong with the link I added to the Miami Vice section. Truth be told I'm sure the only reason it's been deleted is because I'm the one who added it, right shawn? Don't worry, a complaint has been filed and I will keep filing them until something is done about it. Hopefully we can add wikipedia to the long list of sites you've been kicked off of. Have a nice day! ;) Ferrariman1954 (talk) 04:25, 20 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

You need to read the guidelines and policies a little better then. Including the one about WP:OUTING which you have now violated. Anyhow - see (again) the following: WP:FANSITE WP:ELNO WP:PROMO. Srobak (talk) 10:30, 20 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

ANI Notification edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

Do not add personal information about other contributors to Wikipedia. Wikipedia operates on the principle that every contributor has the right to remain completely anonymous. Posting personal information about a user is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's harassment policy. Wikipedia policy on this issue is strictly enforced and your edits have been reverted or removed, not least because such information can appear on web searches. Wikipedia's privacy policy is there to protect the privacy of every user, including you. Persistently adding personal information about other contributors may result in you being blocked from editing. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 11:22, 20 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I concur with the above. Releasing personal information, disruptive editing and edit-warring are all grounds for blocking. If you wish to edit here you need to take notice of site policy rather than trying to argue your way around it. Further problematic edits will see you prevented from editing Wikipedia. EyeSerenetalk 11:37, 20 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

You know what guys? All I have to say is "whatever" I personally don't have the time to try and read all of your rules and deal with all your crap. All I know is I added information to a topic out of good faith and Mr. macho man, power trip srobak deleted it because he has a personal problem with me, end of story! and if you think it's another reason you are dead wrong. I have only one question, why was my link the only one that was deleted? Why do the other 4 links to various websites still remain? Ferrariman1954 (talk) 18:32, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Because none of them fall under the classification of WP:FANSITE and violate WP:ELNO that you can't be bothered to read. They actually have encyclopedic value, unlike the forum site you have linked in efforts to promote it and to drive up membership. I stated why the links were reverted, and that isn't the first link to have been removed from both that and other pages by myself and other editors because it did not adhere to the guidelines set forth by WP. Other editors here have explained to you in 3 different threads as to why they should in fact be reverted. There are rules, guidelines and standards and they are applied equally and uniformly to all users. While these are foreign concepts for you, you will take the time to understand them and conduct yourself on WP in accordance with them. If you wish to make an effort to change how things are done here, you can RFC/AFD them. Srobak (talk) 08:59, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

My God you sound so professional! too bad you'll always be an asshole. Boot me, ban me, don't e-mail me anymore, hit the lights, I'm done. I don't need you or wikipedia to boost membership on any website.

If you cannot be WP:CIVIL, then simply be quiet. I do not have the ability to boot you or ban you, and I have not emailed you since 12/14/07. The reality is if you do get blocked/banned/booted from here or anywhere - you have only done it to yourself with conduct like what you have demonstrated in this thread, in your COI thread, and in your actions here on WP. Only one person to hold accountable in that situation... and it's not me. Have a fantastic day! Srobak (talk) 17:23, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not attack other editors. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 15:25, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Srobak (talk) 16:49, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
