Hi. I hope I'm replying correctly. I deleted the one about Jefferson and Adams, because technically, the filmakers are not incorrect about that. Both Jefferson and Adams recall a conversation - Adams recalls it in private, Jefferson in public. So, since the filmmakers are following Adams' account, it should be in private. As for Edward Rutledge, he was initially against independence, as portrayed in the films. To quote David McCullough's book, "Among the opposition there were only two whom he disliked, Benjamin Harrison and Edward Rutledge... the more Rutledge talked, the more he expressed disagreement with Adams... Yet Adams remained pointedly courteous to both men, as to others of the anti-independence faction. Pgs 92-93. Both of these are incorrect and should not be in this section.

You are :D I heard both sides the majority it looks like Rutledge was for independence>was captured and treated badly by the British. (very sickly and frail by the time he was released) I think Adams and Rutledge had personality classhes Rutledge was for independence but wanted colonies to unite when Adams it sounded like didn't like Rutledge> he thought he was immature and vain. I heard Rutledge described as tender and mild and benevolent in alot of scorces :) I hope my sentince sounds ok :)

McCullough info

Thanks for the info that you added to the David McCullough article, I've written most of the article, but have been putting off adding his personal info for too long and it's really the only gap left in the article. Just a word of caution about nationmaster.com—it is a Wikipedia mirrior site which means that it basically displays the same article that is on Wikipedia and since Wikipedia isn't a reliable source, neither is it, so I wouldn't recommend citing it. Other than that it was pretty good, that Chicago Trib article looked good, I hope I can find the time to read the whole thing soon. Good work and Thanks! blackngold29 07:05, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

In response to your question, yes you can, by semi protecting it. I will take a look and if it warrants it, I will request page protection. It works well, I remember I protected an article that was incuring excessive vandalism and it has stopped, even with only a temporary block. Again, if you have any questions, hit me up!
