Doklady Physics

Hello. I hope things went well with your conference. Were you able to explain the fine distinctions between Physical Chemistry and Chemical Physics?

I just added an article entitled "Doklady Physics". I don't know what the correct Russian translation for this title is, so feel free to add it. Also feel free to copy edit and add material as you see fit. Very glad that you have been willing to contribute.

• Hello Steve, the conference was sweet and sour. Several ground-breaking reports, including biological activity of nanodiamonds and perspectives of new type of medicine based on Mg isotopic effect for DNA and protein synthesis. And sadness, felt by many, to watch how the Russian school of chemical physics loses its great professors, most of them are well over 70.

As for Doklady Physics, it's a little bit unusual. Same Russian journal Doklady Akademii Nauk, published 6 issues every two months, is rearranged in English translation into 7 different journals, Doklady Biochemistry and Biophysics, Doklady Chemistry, Doklady Earth Sciences, Doklady Biological Sciences, Doklady Physics, Doklady Mathematics, Doklady Physical Chemistry, each published monthly. At the moment I'm in doubt what to do with that. A general article Proceedings of the USSR Academy of Sciences already exists with interwiki to the Russian article and subsections for each of the offsprings. --Fedor Babkin (talk) 05:28, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Biological activity of nanodiamonds [1], [2] -- wow! This is actually the first time I have heard of this, but it appears that nanodiamonds are very sutiable for the biology and medical researchers.

Sorry about the loss of professors. Hopefully the younger ones will eventually fill their shoes. Or are you saying there are no up and coming replacements?

Ramil Garifullin

Thanks for clarifying the possible COI, although I have no idea what the ungrammatical "I Irek Minnullin and I went out on contact with Ramil Garifullina" might actually mean. Is it worth putting this article up for a formal AfD discussion? All the sources seem to be in Russian, which I can't judge the reliability of, and if it's been deleted (multiple times) from the Russian Wikipedia I assume it's unlikely to belong here either. --McGeddon (talk) 15:52, 31 July 2014 (UTC)

• You are welcome. It means "My name is Irek Minnullin and I've contacted Ramil Garifullin". In my opinion, this article is an obvious self-promotion of a person that fails to meet any notability criteria. This was the reason of the deletion and subsequent protection against recreation of this article in the Russian Wikipedia. However, English Wikipedia has a little bit less strict rules and I believe a formal AfD procedure is necessary and fair. --Fedor Babkin (talk) 17:06, 31 July 2014 (UTC)

I can do it, even though there is no doubt it will provoke more personal accusations. However, I would wait for a couple of days more to give the authors an opportunity to respond to the message about COI.
