Audio articles edit

Hi. I saw your proposal on the Village pump about audio articles and I think it's a good idea. I've replied there, but I thought I'd just let you know. I've posted a note about it on Wikipedia talk:Pushing to 1.0 as well - we'd need static versions of articles which is what they're working on so hopefully they'll tell us what they think. Thank you for the notice :) --Friðrik Bragi Dýrfjörð 22:26, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I've just found this new Wikiproject: Wikipedia:WikiProject Spoken Wikipedia - someone else clearly thought that it was a good idea as well. SteveW | Talk 17:16, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Pokémon characters edit

Why is it we are documenting pokémons (Phanpy), but small organizations (Labels are for jars) aren't allowed too be documented because they don't rate high enough in google hits? --Friðrik Bragi Dýrfjörð 15:39, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Vasco da Gama edit

An article that you've edited before (Vasco da Gama) is nominated for Article Improvement Drive. If you want go there and vote. Thanks. Gameiro 02:58, 31 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Teh Scene edit

You tagged this for speedy deletion. I just deleted it. It would be very helpful if in future you used {{db}} and gave the reason why soemthing is subject to speedy deletion, or used one of the specialized db tempaltes that come with a reason pre-supplied -- they are lsited at WP:CSD and elsewhere. It makes the work of an admin patroling Category:Candidates for speedy deletion significantly easier. DES (talk) 06:08, 10 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Allright, will do. --Friðrik Bragi Dýrfjörð 13:03, 10 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Norse mythology naming convention vote notice edit

A new proposal on the representation of Norse mythology names is now up for a vote. Some people object to it on the grounds that it would use non-English characters in some article titles. It would be interesting to hear your view since you've commented on a related vote in the past. - Haukur Þorgeirsson 00:51, 19 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Jimbo edit

I read your comments on S-P. Actually, Jimbo is a god on Wikipedia. He has made several policy changes based on his whim and nothing more, including the recent change that banned anons from creating articles. 2/3rds of the passed policies have been due to his support (without it, we would probably go several months without S-P being implemented). Also, he's protected articles and blocked users only on his own authority, not on the arbcoms or foundation committee or anything else. Here is a good article on it. *should* he have that much authority? Maybe not. But calling him a god on Wikipedia doesn't mean we necessarily agree with it. But it's calling a spade a spade. If Jimbo wants it done, it gets done. To me, that defines a god for our purposes. He doesn't use that power alot, but he has it. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 21:55, 17 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
