Your copyright notice... edit

Unfortunately it seems that your copyright notice on your user page is slightly incompatible with the other license you agree to post your content under. Please review the GNU Free Documentation License for more info.

As the GNU license does the things your license is requesting you may wish to simply use that.

But as it is now your licence demands more then the GNU. The only time you can duel-license here is when the second license is freer then the GFDL. Some people release there contributions under Public Domain or CCDL.

speech edit

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." ~First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America

This was written to allow the free practice of religion, without the fear of persecution, and is at the heart of many of the freedoms americans enjoy; yet religious discrimination does still occur, and in many cases there is significant loss associated with such victimization. Today, I attempt to inform you of the importance of religious freedom; and also to impress upon you a need for the practice of religious tolerance in your everyday lives.

Religious intolerance is often manifested on an interpersonal level, yet many spectacular displays of hatred are the result of such hatred and violence. On September 11, 2001, 19 hijackers flew planes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Three thousand sixteen people were killed. The motivation was the propagation of Islam, though it could just as easily of been any other religion.

After these heinous acts, other atrocities, though less severe and much more frequent, were committed against Muslims, simply because they shared the same faith. As you can see by this example, religious intolerance breeds more religious intolerance - a vicious cycle. While religious intolerance can cause horrible spectacles such as the September 11th attacks; the everyday implications, such as the all-too-common discrimination against Muslims, can be just as great. For example, non-theistic individuals can not join the boy Scouts of America, though there are lawsuits against them.

Why should a person not be allowed into an organization because of their faith? Why should war be waged against a country for not conforming to a religious law? Why should we shun our neighbors on the basis of their faith? I call upon you all to treat the faith of others with respect, though it may clash with your own. I call upon you to promote tolerance and propagate peace in this important matter. I leave you with these parting words: respect the faith of others, so they shall be compelled to do the same. Adieu.
