Bangor friends received the announcement last week of the marriage of Miss Jessie Inez Northrup and James H. Carmichael, Jr., the happy event taking place July 4th, Dr. Paul R. Dickie, pastor of the Bethany Memorial church of New York City being the officiating minister. The groom is an aviation instructor in the Newark, N. J. airport and they will make their home in that city. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Merle (nee Watkins) Northrup, and both young people are well known here, enjoying a wide circle of friends with whom The Advance joins in extending congratulations and best wishes. (Bangor Advance July 24, 1930) They were both well known around Bangor Michigan and made many trips hope which were well noted in the paper.
