Because it sounded like fan-site info rather than encyclopedia article. Every band can be compared to a ton of diverse bands - it's usually not terribly helpful unless it's really specific (do they sound like "Jean Genie" or "Waterloo Sunset"?) - and talking about who their friends is classic fan-talk that doesn't inform the reader of anything. Pretend you came to the article by hitting "random article" - what would you want/need to know? Don't pretend you're somebody who knows the band already, looking for confirmation of its importance or of what you know. Obviously, of course there's an element of subjectivity in making this distinction - such is the joy of wikipedia! - DavidWBrooks 18:52, 12 September 2005 (UTC)
